Industrial fittings

Fittings for every piping system and operating condition: from threaded malleable iron to high-pressure forged steel, from PVC for aggressive chemicals to stainless steel for food-grade applications.

Threaded fittings

Malleable iron (EN 10242), carbon steel ASTM A105, stainless AISI 304/316, brass. Elbows, tees, reducers, nipples, unions, caps. BSP and NPT threads. 1/8" to 4" (DN 6-100). Up to PN 25.

Forged fittings (ASME B16.11)

Socket weld and threaded, classes 2000-9000 lbs. Carbon steel A105, stainless A182 F304/F316, alloy A182 F5/F11/F22/F91. For Oil & Gas, petrochemical and high-pressure applications.

Butt weld fittings (ASME B16.9)

Long and short radius elbows, equal and reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, caps. Carbon steel A234 WPB, stainless A403 WP304/316. 1/2" to 48", SCH 10-160.

Plastic fittings

PVC-U, PP-H, PVDF for chemical and pharmaceutical applications. FIP brand. Solvent cement, butt fusion, electrofusion and flanged joints. Temperature range up to 140°C (PVDF).

Grooved fittings

Mechanical coupling system eliminating welding and threading. Rigid and flexible couplings, elbows, tees and reducers. DN 25-600. Ideal for fire protection, HVAC and fast installation.

Food-grade stainless steel fittings

For the food & beverage, dairy, wine, brewing and pharmaceutical sectors we supply dedicated fittings in AISI 316L with Ra ≤ 0.8 µm finish, compliant with EHEDG and EU Regulation 1935/2004. DIN 11851 (swaged and welded), Clamp/Tri-Clamp and Garolla couplings.

What fitting standards does Roffia supply?
Roffia supplies fittings to: EN 10242 (threaded malleable iron), ASME B16.11 (forged socket weld and threaded), ASME B16.9 (butt weld), DIN standards (including DIN 11851 food-grade dairy couplings) and plastic material standards. Stock availability in Cremona with fast delivery across Italy and internationally.
What fittings for chemically aggressive fluids?
For acids, bases and solvents use plastic fittings: PVC-U (up to 60°C, most economical), PP-H polypropylene (up to 100°C), PVDF (up to 140°C, maximum chemical resistance) or PVC-C (hot water up to 80°C). Roffia distributes FIP, the leader in plastic piping systems for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
What is the difference between socket weld and butt weld fittings?
Socket weld fittings are pocket-welded (the pipe enters the fitting) and are used for small diameters up to 2 inch. Butt weld fittings are end-to-end welded (bevelled pipe to fitting) and are standard for large diameters and high pressures. Butt weld offers better strength and allows radiographic weld inspection, mandatory in many PED-regulated plants.
Does Roffia deliver fittings internationally?
Yes. From our Cremona warehouse we deliver fittings throughout Italy and internationally (EU and non-EU since 2015). Particularly fast delivery (24-48 hours) in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont and Veneto. For standard fittings we guarantee immediate availability; for special materials or non-standard sizes, rapid sourcing through direct manufacturer relationships.
What are food-grade stainless steel fittings and what standards apply?
Food-grade stainless steel fittings are manufactured in AISI 316L (1.4404) with satin or mirror-polished finish (surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.8 µm) to prevent residue build-up and facilitate CIP (Clean In Place) cleaning. They must comply with EU Regulation 1935/2004 for food contact and EHEDG hygienic design guidelines. The most common connections in the food industry are: DIN 11851 (dairy coupling, swaged and welded versions), Clamp/Tri-Clamp (DIN 32676, tool-free quick disassembly) and Garolla (Italian-style threaded flanged coupling, typical of the dairy industry). Roffia supplies elbows, tees, reducers, couplings and special fittings in all these connections.
What is the difference between DIN, Clamp and Garolla fittings?
The DIN 11851 connection ("dairy coupling") is the European standard for the dairy industry: it consists of a blank nut, thread and gasket, available in swaged (pipe mechanically expanded into the fitting) and welded (pipe orbitally TIG-welded to the fitting) versions. Clamp (or Tri-Clamp, DIN 32676 / ISO 2852) is a clamp connection allowing tool-free quick disassembly with interchangeable gasket (EPDM, silicone, PTFE). Garolla is a typically Italian threaded flanged coupling: the pipe is swaged and secured with a nut and gasket, widely used in Italian dairy and beverage plants. All three are made in AISI 316L stainless steel with food-grade finish.
